GOOD DAY SUNSHINE FESTIVAL – CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Saturday 29 November 2025 | Gloucester Park, Margaret River
1. GENERAL TERMS
1.1 Agreement
All entry conditions must be read in conjunction with the information provided on our website and signage at the event.
1.2 Compliance
By entering, you agree to follow all directions from event staff and security and abide by the festival’s policies.
2. AGE POLICY & YOUTH ENTRY
2.1 Licensed All-Ages Event
Good Day Sunshine is a licensed all-ages event. Patrons under 18 may attend with a valid ticket if accompanied by a responsible adult.
2.2 Responsible Adult Definition
Under Section 125(2)(b) of the Liquor Control Act 1988 (WA), a responsible adult is defined as:
“An adult who is a parent, step-parent, spouse, de facto partner or legal guardian of the juvenile, or other person in loco parentis to the juvenile.”
2.3 Youth Entry Conditions
- A maximum of two (2) under-18s per responsible adult is permitted. (This includes babies in arms (children aged 2 and under)).
- All youth must be registered at the front gate with their accompanying adult and will be wristbanded accordingly.
- Unaccompanied youth will not be admitted and any found unsupervised during the event will be removed, along with their responsible adult.
- No refunds will be issued for breaches of this policy.
2.4 Babies in Arms Policy
- Children aged 2 years and under are admitted free of charge.
- Prams, strollers, or buggies are not permitted for safety and logistical reasons.
- Alternative baby-wearing options such as carriers must be used.
- You may bring a small 1m play mat for use in the seated area if you are carrying a baby.
2.5 Event Characteristics
The event may involve loud music, high energy crowds, and explicit content. Parents and guardians should consider whether the event is suitable for children or youth in their care.
3. IDENTIFICATION & ENTRY
3.1 Photo ID Requirements
All patrons must carry valid photo ID. Acceptable forms include:
- Australian driver’s licence or learner’s permit
- Passport
- State or Territory proof of age card
3.2 Alcohol Service
Only patrons aged 18+ with valid photo ID will be issued an 18+ wristband for alcohol service.
3.3 No Pass-Outs
Strictly no pass-outs (exit and re-entry) will be permitted.
3.4 Right to Refuse Entry
Entry may be refused or revoked at the organiser’s discretion, including but not limited to intoxication, aggressive behaviour, unauthorised media access, or attempts to bypass security.
4. SEATING & VENUE SETUP
4.1 Portable Seating Policy
- Patrons may bring collapsible, low-profile chairs.
- Chairs are permitted only in the designated area behind the dancing floor.
- This area is first come, first served.
- Rugs, blankets, or ground coverings are not permitted.
5. ACCESSIBILITY
5.1 Wheelchair & Accessibility
The venue offers wheelchair access, accessible amenities, and companion card access.
5.2 Companion Card Tickets
We offer free carer tickets for companion cardholders. All ticketing enquiries should be directed to info@oztix.com.au.
5.3 Dietary Requirements
We aim to offer food options that cater to a wide range of dietary needs. However, if you have specific requirements and would like to discuss an exemption to bring your own food, please contact us at events@macromusic.com.au.
6. TICKETS
6.1 Validity
- Tickets are only valid if purchased through the official ticketing agent, Oztix.
- Lost, stolen, or damaged tickets will not be replaced.
6.2 Resale & Limits
- Tickets may not be resold or used for promotional purposes without consent.
- Ticket sales are limited to 8 per transaction and available until sold out.
6.3 Refunds
No refunds will be issued for non-attendance, changes in personal circumstances, or breaches of entry conditions. Please refer to Oztix’s Ticket Terms and Conditions of Sale for more details.
7. EVENT BEHAVIOUR & SAFETY
7.1 Prohibited Behaviour
- No crowd surfing, moshing, or dangerous behaviour.
- No unauthorised media recording.
- No impersonation of staff or emergency personnel.
7.2 Safety & First Aid
- First Aid and security are available onsite.
- In emergencies, follow all staff or emergency personnel instructions.
7.3 Liability
Entry is at your own risk. The organiser accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage incurred.
7.4 Anti-Harassment Policy
This is a safe and inclusive event. Any harassment, discrimination, or antisocial behaviour may result in immediate eviction and possible police referral.
8. PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items are not permitted:
- Prams, strollers, buggies
- Rugs, blankets, umbrellas, tables, eskies
- Alcohol or illegal drugs
- Prescription medication not in original packaging
- Outside food or beverages (exception: empty refillable water bottles)
- Glass or aluminium containers
- Professional audio/visual equipment
- Drones, flags, poles, air horns, megaphones, promotional material
- Weapons, fireworks, or dangerous goods
- Bikes, skateboards, hoverboards, and scooters
- Animals (excluding approved guide dogs)
Note: Free water refill stations are available. Please bring empty bottles only.
9. EVENT OPERATIONS
9.1 Photography & Media
By attending the event, you consent to being filmed or photographed for marketing and promotional use.
9.2 Weather & Force Majeure
The event will proceed rain or shine. In the event of severe weather or other force majeure situations, programming may change or cancellation may occur. Refund will be given in accordance with Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice. Refunds will not be issued for discomfort due to weather.
9.3 COVID-19 Compliance
The event will operate under all relevant public health guidelines. Entry requirements may be updated in line with WA Health orders.
10. ESSENTIAL TIPS
- Bring a hat, sunscreen, and water bottle.
- No ATMs on site – EFTPOS available at bars and most vendors.
- Be kind, look after each other, and enjoy the sunshine.
